Itinerary
Approx. Drive Time: 5 hours
Morning:
- Depart Nairobi early (around 6:00 AM) and drive southeast along the Nairobi–Mombasa highway.
- Arrive at Tsavo East National Park through the Bachuma Gate, known for its rolling plains and famous red elephants.
Mid-Morning Game Drive:
- Enjoy your first game drive in search of lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and the park’s iconic red elephants.
- Visit the Aruba Dam or Mudanda Rock, popular wildlife viewing spots.
Afternoon:
- Check in at your lodge/camp for lunch and some rest.
- Later, enjoy an evening game drive as the sun sets over the plains.
